Indonesia with Palestine
Indonesian President Joko Widodo today released the Indonesian government's humanitarian assistance to Palestine.
The Indonesian government's humanitarian aid for victims of the war in Palestine was flown by three Hercules aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force.
Two C-130 Hercules aircraft were flown from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, and another chartered commercial aircraft departed from Soekarno Hatta Airport.
The President Jokowi added that the total first phase of humanitarian aid from the Indonesian government today was 51.5 metric tons of aid in the form of food, medical equipment, blankets, tents, and other logistical items that had been adapted to existing needs in Gaza.
"Yes, the aid will immediately depart, so from here there are two planes containing 21 tons, and then the rest will be in Soekarno Hatta via a cargo plane that will carry more, namely around 30 tons," said Indonesian President Joko Widodo at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta, on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
"From here it will be taken to Jeddah; Jeddah will stop waiting in line to enter El-Arish, Egypt; from El-Arish it will then be taken to Gaza.
A number of ministers and military officials were seen accompanying Indonesian President Joko Widodo in releasing humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza.
Among them are Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, Indonesian Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, TNI Commander Admiral TNI Yudo Margono, Chief of Army Staff (KSAD) General TNI Agus Subiyanto, Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali, Chief Air Force Staff (KSAU) Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo, National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Zuhair Al-Shun.
